The South Korean IT behemoth has only shown out a teaser image of the smart ring thus far, but more information should be made public shortly. At the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10th, the long-awaited smart ring with various biomonitoring capabilities will be revealed.
APK teardowns have revealed several of these functions, like snore detection and skin temperature measurement, ahead of their official release. Samsung's Health app is expected to incorporate these health-tracking features with the release of the Galaxy Ring, according to a report by Android Authority.
Although these capabilities are not yet available to the general public, they were found through the Samsung Health app's APK breakdown. It is rumored that users of the Galaxy Ring will be able to monitor their stress levels and heart rates.
For tracking purposes, it is anticipated that the Health app would include a graphical depiction of these parameters. Menstrual cycle prediction and skin temperature measurement are two other features that Samsung's smart ring will offer.
According to the article, Galaxy Ring may have snoring detection built-in, however, this feature would only work when the smartphone is used as a companion.
Even while the Galaxy Watch series already offers most of these biomonitoring features, the launch of the Galaxy Ring could offer those who prefer a more covert method of health monitoring. The casing for the Galaxy Ring may have a jewelry box-like appearance with flat corners, as was purportedly leaked last month.
